Pacific Masters Open Water Challenge

How does it work? For every Pacific Masters sanctioned open water swim that a Pacific Masters swimmer successfully completes beginning with the 2021 season, that swimmer will receive credit for one swim. Complete 5 total open water swims successfully, and the swimmer earns "Trout" status. The swimmer will elevate to "Manatee" with the 10th successfully completed swim, and so on.
Guidelines:

• A swimmer can compete in both Suit category 1 and 2. All Open Water swims ("wetsuit" and "non-wetsuit") count for this challenge.
• All successfully completed sanctioned swims longer than 500m count.
• When swimming at a festival (for example, Lake Berryessa, Del Valle, Santa Cruz, or Keller Cove) each event swum counts as one swim.

Hints:

• Within each different status (Trout, Manatee, etc.) swimmers are ordered first by number of swims, and then by total distance swum.

• Want to see more details about a particular year's Open Water swims for a specific swimmer? After clicking on their name select the suit category swims desired (either Cat 1 or Cat 2, depending on which suit categories they swam in).
